Description: Success is built upon initiatives that work – bright spots. To build resilient and sustainable island communities we need to invest in the bright spots that can be scaled and replicated through innovative partnerships to achieve our global development goals.
Islands have made visionary commitments and are leaders of partnerships that are creating change. This event brought together leaders of island bright spots into a ‘world café’ style facilitated dialogue to share successes and inspire new leadership and commitment to action for a sustainable future and lessons.
Table discussions focused on:

  • Oceans & voyaging
  • Leadership in blue/green growth
  • Innovative financing
  • Sustainable island communities

This event was followed by an informal "Kava-side Chat" focused on discussion of opporutnities towards 2016 at a different venue.
