Participate

Participants are generally individuals, governments, agencies and organizations that have attended a GLISPA event or contributed to supporting the Partnership either in-kind or financially.  If you are interested in learning more about participating, please contact jessica.robbins@glispa.org.

 Join GLISPA-discuss

GLISPA facilitates a moderated email list (GLISPA-discuss@googlegroups.com) to share information and encourage collaboration related to advancement of GLISPA’s mission to advance conservation of island biodiversity and sustainable livelihoods. Information shared will generally relate to:

  • Successful implementation of regional island challenges and other partner commitments
  • Ecosystem-based adaptation, mitigation and reducing the threat of invasive species
  • Linking conservation and sustainable livelihoods to development dialogue

All contributions to the email list should be provided in a positive and constructive manner. All members can send emails to GLISPA-discuss. The emails will first be approved by a moderator before being sent to the full group. You will receive approximately three to five emails per day.

Make a Commitment to Conservation

GLISPA encourages any individual, government, agency or organization to make commitments to conservation of island biodiversity and sustainable livelihoods. To learn more, please contact jessica.robbins@glispa.org.

Partnership Principles

  1. GLISPA is an open partnership, available to any national or local government, agency or organization that shares its mission and supports the advancement of its objectives.
  2. GLISPA commitments are based on global, national, regional and/or organizational priorities, including helping countries accelerate and improve action on key international policies and agreements.
  3. Partners are responsible for implementing and funding their commitments, while the Partnership assists through its global network and capacity to facilitate action.
  4. Collaboration is encouraged and facilitated by the Partnership but is always voluntary.
  5. GLISPA concentrates on adding value to existing networks and initiatives.
