Become a Glispa Fellow
The Global Island Partnership is often supported by the invaluable support of interns and other volunteers as part of the GLISPA Fellows Program. GLISPA Fellows have been engaged in exciting and diverse roles from supporting development of campaigns around islands in the green economy to supporting high level events and communications.
GLISPA welcomes expressions of interest in participating in the GLISPA Fellows program for a minimum of three months. Potential Fellows should meet the following guidelines:
- Enrolled in or have completed a Graduate or Post Graduate program focused on conservation, international policy and/or a relevant field;
- Have a demonstrated interested in conservation of biodiversity and sustainable livelihoods in islands;
- Be enthusiastic, competent and a willingness to work collaboratively.
GLISPA Fellows are usually based in New York City or Washington D.C. however other postings can be considered depending on the current activities of the Partnership. In some instances, work can be completed remotely.
GLISPA Fellows will benefit from experience working for an effective and impactful Partnership as well as have the opportunity to engage with a range of partner organizations working in island conservation. The Fellows are usually unpaid.

GLISPA Fellow – Coordination
We are currently looking for a bright and passionate individual to help our coordination team. The Fellowship will focus on coordination of upcoming high level events that will be held in parallel to meetings of the United Nations Conventions. Please see PDF for further details.
